FLORIDAKIDS.us CLASS OF 2005 RECRUITING EVALUATION:

While you can find out just so much about watching film on an athlete or talking to him on the phone, there is a major advantage to seeing the athlete live. I have been fortunate to see more high school football players in person in the state of Florida than any other source.

In these Recruiting Briefs, I will try and give you some quick points about the athlete. If you should need a more extensive evaluation, please feel free to e-mail me at FloridaKids1@hotmail.com.

I hope you enjoy this rare look into the football players in the state from a firsthand:

PLAYER: Jordan Wilson
SCHOOL: Tampa Chamberlain
POSITION: DB/RB
HEIGHT: 5-11
WEIGHT: 180
www.floridakids.us PRE-SPRING RATING: Not rated.

THE SCOOP ON THIS FLORIDA KID: One of the Tampa area's underexposed standouts who has made major strides in the spring and into the summer to making an impact with collegiate coaches.
EVALUATION: "Having the opportunity to watch this young man play the University of South Florida 7-on-7 Sling & Shoot event, I was simply impressed at the way he caught the ball and made superb cuts on the offensive side of the ball.
On defense, he just may be as good as you get at reading and anticipating. This is someone who runs extremely well (4.47), breaks on passes, comes up to support the run and has a knack of how to play this game – at a high level."
THE INSIDE STORY: When I saw this program three years ago in the state championship game against Naples, the one thing that I was totally impressed with was the way they were coached at individual positions. This is a product of that great coaching.
