FLORIDAKIDS.us CLASS OF 2005 RECRUITING EVALUATION:

While you can find out just so much about watching film on an athlete or talking to him on the phone, there is a major advantage to seeing the athlete live. I have been fortunate to see more high school football players in person in the state of Florida than any other source.

In these Recruiting Briefs, I will try and give you some quick points about the athlete. If you should need a more extensive evaluation, please feel free to e-mail me at FloridaKids1@hotmail.com.

I hope you enjoy this rare look into the football players in the state from a firsthand:

PLAYER: Chris May
SCHOOL: Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer
POSITION: RB/OLB
HEIGHT: 6-0
WEIGHT: 190
www.floridakids.us PRE-SPRING RATING: Not rated.

THE SCOOP ON THIS FLORIDA KID: When a college coach called me this summer and asked if I had ever watched Chris play and I told him that he was one of the hidden gems that I watched, he immediately laughed and said that he thought he was the only one who may have felt that way.
EVALUATION: "This is a throwback football player who gets dirty, gives everything he has, knocks your head off and then goes home to rest up to do it all over again.
This is a football player, ladies and gentlemen, who leaves everything on the field. On offense, he slashes, runs you over and then uses his 4.49 speed to run away from you.
On defense, where I believe he will end up, playing safety, he hits you like his life depended on jarring the ball loose on every play. This is easily one of the top 10 underexposed players in the state."
THE INSIDE STORY: Here is the classic don't judge a book by its cover. A soft spoke, clean-cut, All-American kid who will make you pay when the whistle blows.
