Orlando Combine MVP: O.J. Ross

O.J. Ross from Mainland High School is the Overall MVP of the Combine in Orlando. At 5'10, 176, with a 4.36 40 and 9-7 broad jump, Ross also dominated in drills and one on one's.

"It was great coming out here and competing against top-level talent," said Ross. "The competition forces you to become a better player."

As a junior Ross had 34 catches for close to 700 yards and 10 touchdowns. "It is my work ethic. I just go out there and outwork everyone." His elite speed, coupled with soft hands and route running ability make him one of the more complete WR's in the Sunshine State for 2010.

This is the second time in three weeks that Ross has shined. At the Tampa 7on7 event Ross was Team Jacksonville's most consistent and explosive weapon.

On the recruiting trail, "I have a top 5 of Florida, Miami, Michigan, Arkansas, and North Carolina. Michigan and Arkansas have offered." Ross figures to garner plenty of attention during the Spring Evaluation period.

"I'm looking at the academic program and how good the football program is. Those are the two main things I'll be looking at." Ross has a 2.8 core GPA and is scheduling the tests.
