Faustin Enjoying the Process

Lely CB Jhony Faustin is one of the top CB prospects in Southwest Florida and has been visiting schools around the Southeast.

Jhony Faustin started off at Florida State, "I am with a big group of guys and we went to FSU first. It was my first time there, it is so different than Southwest Florida, I was very impressed with everything there."

After taking in FSU he made it up to Tennessee, "We got to camp at Tennessee and it was awesome. I received some great coaching and got to compete with some outstanding talent. I really liked all the coaches."

After taking in Tennessee, Faustin went to a school that has offered him, "We stopped off at Middle Tennessee and it was straight. I can see myself there. Juno(Prudhomme) is from my area and he signed there last year. They are loaded with Florida guys and are after a team mate of mine (Donald Reseau) as well".

A quick trip north to Nashville brought Faustin to Vanderbilt, "Incredible. I really thought everything about Vanderbilt was amazing. The academics are obviously great, they have a beautiful campus and I can tell things are different there, they really care about their players away from the field. It is an offer that I would love to get."

On Saturday he competed at the Alabama 7on7 tournament, "We only had about 13 guys and it was really hot, but we competed hard, we just ran out of gas later in the day, other teams had 40 guys to rotate. I probably had my best day at an event like that, I had five picks and over 10 pass break-ups. I hope the coaches took notice."

The trip has been a good one, "These schools are all top notch. I have some great opportunities (Purdue, Maryland, Pitt, Middle Tennessee, FIU), I can only go to schools that want me. It has been an experience to just be on these campuses and I look forward to seeing more in the future."
