Not gonna make any predictions but Commerce should be pretty tough on the public side. They only lost one senior and the freshman that played last year have a year of Varsity experience. They should have 3 strong pitchers with 2-3 really good pitchers to throw. Time will tell. I'm just glad somebody posted something, this place has been dead!!
Region 3 public should be fairly tough again. You have Treutlen Co who are always good with good pitching, made it to final four last year, ECI, not sure what they lost but always hit good and made it to sweet sixteen last year, JOCO should be OK, lots of seniors this year with 3 years varsity experience and made it to Elite 8 last season,Wheeler Co I think will surprise folks, not sure what Jenkins lost but they are tough and made it to Elite 8 last season. Privates out of Savannah have lots of talent, although they were fairly quite last year. I look for them to be much improved in '14.
You may not want to and if so then maybe you should start your thread by asking who are the top 16 privates coming into the 2014 season? Apparently though no one wants to discuss the so called "Majors" as the only responses to your thread were from people interested in the "Minors". I for one am interested in the Clinch Co., Commerce and Truetlen Co. type schools as well as the private schools in the state as they all trot out (9) to the field and play (7) inning games. It's my guess that you really don't care about the other private schools either...you just want someone to give props to the school of your choice as being one of the favorites to win state. It's my wish to be able to get onto this website without having to hear the private vs. public debate time after time. Let's all just enjoy the great game of baseball and give credit to all of the young men who devote so much time to becoming better than they were last year.
