Someimtes I wonder when refs deem it "time" to blow the whistle for a plays completion. In the Valdosta/Tifton game this past Friday I witnessed 2 plays where the whistle being blown too early stopped possible fumbles. One of them I agree with because the players foward progress was stopped and he was held for at least 5 seconds before being stripped of the ball.
This one; however, I did not understand. The link below will show a video I took of the play. It will first show it in completion. Then it will show the play in slow motion in which I pause the video for 2 instances. The first being where the whistle was blown and the second being where the ball came out.
Do you think the whistle was blown too early?
