Mingo Returns for Clinch

One of the top skilled athletes in the state of Georgia is Joe Mingo from Homerville (Ga.) Clinch County High School. Last season as a junior, he was named the Class A Coach's Player of the Year as he led Clinch County to a state championship. Along the way, he threw for 1,467 yards and 21 touchdown passes (only three interceptions) and rushed for 1,070 yards and 15 touchdowns.

"Joe Mingo is Michael Vick at the high school level," Clinch County Head Coach Cecil Barber said. "He has extremely quick feet and makes people miss. You can't teach that. Joe is strong too (330 bench press, 600+ squat) and he has some pop. He is the type of quarterback that never gets rattled and never gets too high or too low. He can throw the ball or run the option very well."
