Roger King is a little bit undersized, but he packs a punch with his 5-8 and 165 pound frame. He has the ability to cover and support the run, and he arrives at the ball carrier with a wallop.
"He played running back for us as a sophomore," said Peach County Head Coach Rance Gillespie. "He hurt his shoulder a little at running back, so we moved him to corner, and he's really found a home there. He still plays some running back and wide receiver for us too. He is a hard hitter with great feet. He reminds me a little bit of Warrick Dunn
coming out of the backfield on offense too."
King helped lead Peach County to an 8-4 record as a junior, and with 17 starters returning, King is focused on the season ahead.
"I haven't thought too much about college yet," said King. "I guess if I could go anywhere I wanted right now my favorite schools would be Georgia Tech, Georgia, Florida, Nebraska, and Fresno State."
King and Peach County will be a force to be reckoned with this season.
