Robertson is a Peach State speed rusher

Jonesboro's Darrell Robertson is another player with a long, lean frame with a lot of speed coming off the edge. He is 6-5 and 215 pounds and said that his best forty time is 4.5. He had the production on the field as a junior to match his physical numbers as well. He had 103 total tackles, 12 sacks, and most impressively, he used his huge wingspan to knock down approximately 15 passes at the line of scrimmage.

Robertson is a tremendous student with a 3.96 GPA. He has earned his first scholarship offer already, and it won't be long before he has several more schools to choose from.

"Kentucky is the first school to have offered me," said Robertson. "I'm looking at Kentucky, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, and North Carolina State right now. They're all recruiting me to play defensive end. I think my strengths on the field are probably my quick first step and my ability to get past the OL and get to the quarterback. I'm going to be spending the spring and summer working on getting bigger, faster, and stronger."

With his frame Robertson is already plenty strong with a 300 pound bench press. His weight will continue to gain this summer now that basketball is over. He can easily play in the 250+ pound range, and he will be one of the most coveted defensive ends in the south this year.
