The state of Georgia is loaded with speed backs this year, and Cedric Hodges of Houston County is another player to keep a very close eye on. He averaged 7.0 yards per carry gaining 1,299 yards, and he finished the season with 18 touchdowns.
"He's big time," said Coach Bob Daughtry. "I'll have some of the smaller schools come in and look at film, and they'll say 'Well, I've seen enough of him, because we can't get him,'" added Daughtry with a laugh. "We only threw the ball about 100 times in 10 games, so we saw a lot of 8 and 9 man boxes, and Cedric was still able to get his yards."
Colleges from around the country are taking a hard look at Hodges, but one school in particular looks to be the team to beat currently.
"He's hearing from all of the big boys in the south. Teams like Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Mississippi State, and even Michigan has written him. Georgia is his favorite though. I think he'd really like to get an offer from them."
