Brad Lester has a lot to prove this year for the Parkview Panthers. He rushed for 1,621 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior while sharing carries with Troy State signee Sean Dawkins. Many people wondered if those numbers weren't a product of playing behind one of the best offensive lines in the country last year.
Lester has been out to prove himself all summer, and his hard work is paying off. He has been to camps and combines all across the south, and as coaches get a look at the work ethic and physical ability of the 5-10 and 185 pound Lester, they are coming away impressed.
Lester has added several offers this summer that include Virginia, Duke, and most recently Auburn. South Carolina was the first team to offer him a scholarship. Lester plays corner as well as running back, but he wants to stick to running back on the next level.
With a new offensive line in front of him, Lester is out to show that he is among the elite running backs in the south. With his work ethic, talent, and determination, I don't doubt that he will, and neither should Parkview opponents this season.
