GA Athlete has 4 solid offers

Tri-Cities High School in East Point, GA had a breakthrough season last year when they turned it around from 2-8 in 2001 to 8-3 in 2002. This year the team could make some noise in the State Playoffs as the bulk of the team is returning in tact. One key cog will be Tristan Davis.

Davis had 48 tackles and seven interceptions as a junior. He returned two of them for touchdowns. He had 400 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns on offense, and he returned a kick for a touchdown on special teams. At 5-10 and 187 pounds, Davis is a versatile athlete that can hurt an opponent in a lot of ways.

"I play free safety and tailback," said Davis. "Most schools are recruiting me as an athlete, but I'll probably end up on defense. Most of the schools are asking me if I can play corner. I've been to Auburn for a camp, and I went to Auburn for the Nike Camp as well. My personal best 40 time is 4.42, and I ran a 4.5 flat at Nike. I've gotten offers from Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, and Clemson so far. Those four teams and Florida State would probably be my Top 5 right now."

Davis is first cousins with Tennessee running back Jabari Davis, and the Vols may have the inside track to this versatile athlete. Davis is a good student and has already posted a qualifying SAT score.
