Peach State OL heading to the Heartland

John Hafferty put on a show in testing at the Nike Camp. His performance was reminiscent of the performance that Scott Lenahan had at the Camp in Athens, GA in 2002. Both players are from North Metro Atlanta, and now Hafferty has made a decision on his college choice as well.

"John received a written offer from Kansas State and accepted," said Hafferty's mother Adrienne. "John had been to several camps this summer, Kansas State, North Carolina, Boston College, Kentucky, and Ole Miss, and he had impressed and interested coaches who were discussing offers but Kansas State was the first to officially offer. John was thrilled since they had been his top choice all along."

Hafferty is a big, quick interior line prospect that can play guard or center. He burst onto the scene at the Nike Camp at Auburn, and continued his good work at camps this summer. While Kansas State was the first to offer a scholarship, they most certainly would not have been the last had he decided to ride out the recruiting process through February.
