Big Southern OL drawing interest

Anthony Driver is a big interior lineman from Columbus High School in Columbus, GA that is drawing some interest across the south. At 6-0 and 330 pounds with a 5.5 forty, Driver is best suited to play either guard or defensive tackle. Right now, he said that teams are recruiting him for offense.

"I'm being recruited to play guard right now," said Driver. "I don't care which side of the ball I'm on as long as I'm playing. I went to camp at Auburn this summer, but I don't know if I'm going to any more. I'm hearing the most from Southern Miss and Auburn right now. I also get some mail from Georgia and Texas, and if I had to name a 5th school, it would probably be Georgia Tech right now."

Driver has a 335 pound bench press, 485 squat, and a 270 power clean. He went to the state meet in track and field for the shot and discuss. Driver helped lead Columbus to a 4-6 record last year after they had gone 1-9 the year before.

"I feel good about this season. We improved a lot last year, and I think we will have a good team this year."
