Sandy Creek High School has had a good run of tailbacks the past five years, and Hyde has been the most productive. He out rushed J.R. Lemon, and Kelvin German last year, and with teams unable to load up the line of scrimmage because of All-South Wide Receiver Calvin Johnson on the field, Hyde is could break the 2,000 yard barrier this year.
"He has been more productive than any Sandy Creek tailback," said Head Coach Rodney Walker. "He has tremendous toughness. He can out run you or make you miss. He is durable and very very tough."
Hyde's is a pure tailback. He has incredible vision, balance, and instincts. With his compact frame, he is tough to wrap up, and with his balance, he is tough to knock off of his feet. He has picked up an early offer from MTSU, and more are sure to follow.
"MTSU is my first offer," said Hyde. "I also like Georgia Tech, Clemson, Georgia, Memphis, and Tennessee. I'm going to a combine at Georgia Tech on the 26th of this month."
While Hyde has not been talked about up to this point among the top running backs in Georgia, he will be from this point on.
