Jackets continue to look Crisp after five games.

There may be a team in Georgia that is as good as Thomas County Central, but after five games, there's no one better. The Jackets are scoring at a record pace and in doing so, have run out to a 5-0 mark.

"It makes our job easier when the team plays like this", says TCCHS Head Coach Ed Pilcher, "Our offense has run real well. Last week our defense really stepped it up a notch. We scored about three touchdowns from our defense giving us a short field to work with."

This weekend, Crisp County comes calling. The Jackets will have to hit the road, but that has never been a problem for this team. But like TCCHS, Crisp has one of the best quarterbacks in all of South Georgia.

"They are very explosive and throw the ball all over the field", says Pilcher, "Their quarterback Joe Brown is excellent. He's being recruited by everyone like Auburn and Georgia. He's great for what they do."

After Friday nights game, the Jackets have four more to go, all against teams that are must wins.

"Crisp is very capable of beating us. Dougherty is a good team, Bainbridge is very up and down right now, Cairo is getting a lot better, and Ware County is loaded, they just beat Valdosta and lost to Lowndes by only a point."
