Brooks County gets ready for post season

Brooks County Head Coach Ryan Branch has his team in exclusive company. No one, not even Lincoln (FL) High School was able to hang with Madison County (FL). But the Trojans, the Brooks County Trojans that is, pulled off a 10-10 tie, which by all accounts is their biggest victory of the season.

It doesn't do anything as far as the playoff race is concerned, but it's a huge moral victory to tie a team that has wins against the best teams in the state of Florida.

Brooks County sits at 6-2-1 overall, good for 3rd place in the region. The Trojans will finish off the regular season on Friday night in Berrien, a tune up for their first round playoff game at Toombs County.

Coach Branch, like all other coaches in the same position are very leery about injuries...He doesn't want any of his guys getting injured in a game that has no playoff implications whatsoever.

A win would be a nice momentum boost for the Toombs game, but a loss still means Brooks is on the road in round one of the playoffs. Their goal is to meet up again, and beat Cook County, a team that beat them 43-8 back on October 3rd.
