"It's In My Blood."

Ian Smith is an exceptional offensive lineman from Cartersville that has an early favorite.

Ian Smith is a big, strong interior line prospect from Cartersville that is going to be one of the top offensive line prospects in the south this year. He has the size to make an early contribution on the next level, and he has one clear leader.

"South Carolina is my favorite," said Smith. "It's in my blood. All of my family is from South Carolina and my mom and dad both went there."

The Gamecocks are clearly the team to beat; who else is big Smith looking at?

"I also like Georgia, Maryland, Vanderbilt, and Alabama. I like the coaching staff at Georgia, and it's close to home. I haven't been to Maryland yet, but I've heard great things about the campus. I like the environment at Vanderbilt, and I've just always kind of liked Alabama."

Smith will help anchor a very good offensive line for Cartersville. Schools across the south will get a shot at the big lineman, but South Carolina is in the driver's seat early for Smith.
