Georgia DB Updates Top 5

Kelly Reed is a good looking CB prospect from AAA State Champion LaGrange High School. He names a Top 5.

"My top five is Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, and Nebraska. Auburn, Tennessee, and Nebraska are recruiting me the hardest right now," Kelly Reed said.

What stands out about each of his favorites?

Auburn: "I like the facilities, the coaches, and just the whole program."
Tennessee: "I'm a Tennessee fan. I watched the Orange and White game on TV and they look like they need help in the secondary."
Georgia: "Bruce Thornton went to Georgia and he's my man. He loved it up there, and he's been telling all of us here now to go play at Georgia."
Kentucky: "My teammate Wesley Woodyard is going there. Also the coach that recruits our school for them used to coach at South Carolina (Joker Phillips), and he recruited Blake Mitchell. I like him a lot."
Nebraska: "I like the speed on their team. I think I fit right in with their program."

What is Reed looking for in a school?

"Just the whole program in general. I'm looking at class sizes and academic support."

Powerhouse teams Troup and Shaw will join the Grangers region next year but Kelley doesn't seem worried.

"They're going to be gunning for us. They have to come up to our level. LG is always going to bring it, no matter who we play."

Reed is an excellent student, and is already a full qualifier.
