DB/WR has first 3 offers

DB/WR Brandon King is one of the best prospects in the state of Georgia that not many people mention. He has already picked up 3 offers, and more will be on the way once schools get a look at him playing a position other than QB which he plays in high school. Who has made his favorite list to this point?

"Everyone in the SEC is recruiting me pretty much but I have offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest. My top 5 is Georgia, Florida State, Miami, Maryland, and Florida," Brandon King said.

Two schools hold the early lead.

"Georgia and Florida State are my leaders right now. With Georgia, I just really like Coach Martinez and Coach Johnson. They're real friendly, my parents already love them, and I'm a Georgia fan. At Florida State I really love their tradition. I don't know why but I have always just liked the school. I started liking them when Peter Warrick was there."

Why have his other 3 favorites made the list?

Miami: "I like the speed they have and the agression they play with. Also, they have shown that if you prove you can play, they will play you."

Maryland: "I don't too much about them but I saw their campus and the city up there seems pretty cool."

Florida: "The Swamp. I love their stadium and Coach Zook seemed like a cool cat when he came to the school."

What are the most important recruiting factors for Brandon?

"Playing time, location, and education are the main things."

What will the HOCO standout be looking at the most when he begins to take official visits?

"I'm gonna look at the dorms. Also I want to see how close the campus is together and how far I'll have to go to get to class. Lastly, I'll check out the crowd."

What does King feel he does best on the football field?

"I intimidate a lot of people. They don't know what I'm going to do next. I can play so many positions."

Brandon will be a year older and a year wiser as he leads the Bears from his primary spot at QB for the 2nd straight year. With almost 30 seniors returning off a squad that lost a tough 2nd round road game to Valdosta in the playoffs, Houston County should be right in the thick of things when they begin play in region 1-AAAAA this August.
