I have offers from Louisville, Ball State and Troy State right now. Hofstra said they had one in the mail for me also, but I haven't gotten that yet," Nic Riley said.
Who does Riley like the most right now?
"I like Louisville, Purdue, South Carolina, Georgia and Georgia Southern. I'm leaning towards Louisville, Purdue and South Carolina the most though."
What does he prefer about each of those schools?
Louisville: "I went up there for Louis/UK game and I liked the surroundings. They have a good young team."
Purdue: "They started out real good and they have a good team every year. I want to major in pharmacy and they have a great pharmacy school."
South Carolina: "Probably the school recruiting me the hardest right now. I saw them play Troy State and I liked them a lot.'
Georgia: "It's the local school and the school everyone wants to go to. You'd like to be at a place like that if you can."
Georgia Southern: "Probably one of the best 1-AA schools every year and I have a lot of friends down there. I think I would have fun in Statesboro."
What is he looking for in a school?
I'm looking mainly at academics, because football won't last forever. I'm small for an OL, so I'll know I need a redshirt but I'd like to play soon after that also."
Riley and his Bear teammates will face a tough test when they make the 100+ mile trip up to perennial power Parkview this Friday for the 3rd round of the GHSA playoffs.
"I'm ready for it. Parkview is one of those big schools and they don't think we have a chance against them. I'd love to pull an upset and go to the Dome."
Along with being a good looking OL prospect, Nic also happens to be star in the classroom with a 3.9 GPA and 1240 SAT already on the books. He has set his first official visit to South Carolina for November 21st.
