Godfree steps up to Parkview challenge

Parkview head coach Cecil Flowe needed an offensive coach who knew Parkview's drill. Eric Godfree appears to have met those stringent requirements.

Since the Panthers had already completed spring practice when offensive coach Neal Auer accepted the head coaching position at Oconnee County, Flowe looked for someone who needed little introduction.

A 1994 Parkview grad, Godfree played under Flowe and has worked on the Panthers' staff for the past three seasons.

The 26-year old coordinator played defense in high school, but during his prep career he began as quarterback. Later, he played defensive end and linebacker.

After graduating college, he returned to Parkview as a math teacher and football coach.
