First Half Highlights
Peachtree Ridge came out in the second half moving the ball well against Warner
Robins. For the first time all night the Lions were able to convert on third
down. Not only on third down, Peachtree Ridge converted a big fourth and a foot
from the Demon 13 yardline for a first down.
The momentum was short-lived though as Warner Robins forced a fumble as
Peachtree Ridge was getting closer for a score. Warner Robins took over on its
own five yardline with 3:31 left in the third quarter.
Peachtree Ridge held Warner Robins without a first down, and the Demons had to
punt from their goalline. A good punt led to the Lions taking over on the 48 of
Warner Robins with 1:39 left in the third.
The Lions converted a big first down when quarterback Zach Graham found Sidney Haynes across the middle. Haynes ducked underneath the coverage, then turned
upfield to split the defenders for a first down.
The Lions averted disaster when they were able to fall on a missed snap, but it
left them in a hole. Graham used his legs to convert another big first down, and
Peachtree Ridge was in business with first and goal at the Warner Robins eight.
It only took one play for Graham to find a mismatch he liked, and he threw a
fade out to big Sidney Haynes, and Haynes made it look easy. The PAT made it
10-7 Peachtree Ridge with 10:04 left in the game.
Warner Robins went three and out on its next possession. Peachtree Ridge took
over on its own 45 and went to the ground game. The Lions converted two big
third downs as the clock began to run more quickly for the Demons. After two
first downs, the Lions had it first and ten at the Demon 30 yardline, with just
five minutes left on the clock. (Video)
Brandon Davis got loose again for an 11 yard gain, and the Lions were rolling
towards the knockout punch.
The two teams traded five yard penalties before Peachtree Ridge faced a third
and seven from the 16 yardline. Graham ran a naked bootleg and tried to cut it
back inside but was met a yard short of the first down.
Peachtree Ridge came out of the time out trying to pull the Demons offsides, but
a false start was called. Drew Butler was called on to hit the 32 yard field
goal to push the Lion lead to 13-7 with 2:33 left in the game.
Butler's strong leg forced a touchback on the kickoff, and Warner Robins took
over with 2:33 left at its own 20.

The pas went through the hands of a would be Demon receiver and was picked off
by Peachtree Ridge. The Lions took over on the 24 yardline of Warner Robins and
