Matt Moody favors Georgia Tech

Newman (Ga) Landmark Christian quarterback Matt Moody is a good athlete with the ability to make plays with both his arm and legs. After another stellar season, Moody is still waiting on his first offer. GAVSV.com talked to Matt Moody about the latest happenings with his recruiting process.

The 6-foot-3, 210 pound Matt Moody of Landmark Christian Academy in Newman, Ga. told GAVSV.com that he was very close to making a decision.

"Georgia Tech is where I really want to go to school," said Moody.  "If I wasn't playing football, then that's probably where I would go.  I'm thinking about trying to play for them as a walk-on."

"It's kinda like what Miles King did last year. That's probably what I'm going to end up doing.  I'm going to meet with them in early January. As of right now, that's the way I'm leaning."

Miles King is a former teammate of Matt Moody at Landmark Christian.  He is currently a wide receiver on the Yellow Jackets' roster.

Moody plans to take an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech sometime in January.

Other schools are still recruiting Moody.  In fact, he may be taking a couple of official visits in January.

"I might take an official to Liberty and maybe Dartmouth. I'm also talking to Lehigh University.  But I'm almost set on going to Georgia Tech."

This past season, Moody threw for 1,547 yards and 14 touchdowns.  He also rushed for 853 yards and scored 11 touchdowns on the ground.
