Tri-Cities Lineman Holds One Offer

Tri-Cities offensive/defensive lineman Terence Edge, one of the Peach State's top sleeper lineman prospects, will be making an official visit to a C-USA school this weekend. Edge talked to about his only offer and a school that could be ready to offer.

Tri-Cities lineman Terence Edge (6-3, 275) was sure to attract the attention of several college recruiters after a stellar performance at the Combine in Atlanta last spring. However, with signing day looming, Edge currently holds just one offer and is looking for more.

"I have one offer from Eastern Kentucky," said Edge. "But hopefully, UAB offers me this weekend. They just got Coach Neil Callaway, the offensive line coach from Georgia. They got a whole new coaching staff. Coach Corey Barlow is recruiting me for UAB."

"I'm looking forward to going there this weekend. I've got to find out a lot about UAB. I didn't even know they were interested in me until coach Barlow called me. It came as a surprise to me. It's a good deal for me. Coach Callaway worked with me at the Nike Combine in Athens. He's seen me perform and he knows my skill level and everything."

Edge is very high on UAB and he's very excited about the possibility of picking up an offer from the Blazers.

"UAB is at the top of my list," he said. "Eastern Kentucky is my second option right now."

Edge reports a 2.9 core GPA and an 18 ACT. Academics will play a big part in his decision.

"Great academics and graduation rate will be big for me," said Edge. "If football doesn't work out for me, I would still like to get my degree in Business Management. That will be very important for me in a school."

Terence Edge is rated a two-star offensive lineman by He graded out at 93 percent on the season.

On defense, Edge totalled 63 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and returned 2 fumbles for a touchdown.

Eastern Kentucky is recruiting Edge as a defensive tackle while UAB likes him at offensive guard.
