Lyons, Ga. - Robert Toombs Christian Academy wide receiver Jordan Delk was a two-star prospect without an offer until the Naval Academy delivered earlier this month. Not long after, Delk decided that it was just to good an opportunity for him to pass up.
"I committed to Navy," said Delk. "It's a great school. They've got a lot of tradition there and that's something I would love to be a part of. It's a great chance and opportunity for me to play Division I football. I really liked all the coaches. They're just really good guys. They want to help you become real good men and they want you to succeed in every part of your life."
The 6-foot-1, 160-pound wideout from Lyons, Ga. was receiving interest from Wofford, Valdosta State, Furman and UAB before committing to Navy. The wide receivers coach, Brian Bohannon recruited Delk for the Midshipmen.
As a senior, Delk had 32 receptions for 570 yards and rushed 92 times for 700 yards. He scored 19 touchdowns and was selected to the All-Region and All-State teams.
Jordon Delk told GAVSV.com that his recruiting process was over. He will begin classes at the Naval Academy sometime in August.
