"It was a really good trip," said Davis. "I think they really like me a lot. I talked to the running back coach Stan Drayton and Billy Gonzales, the recruiting coach. I think they're real close to offering. They really treated me great and they were very nice to me. It was a good experience."
It was a big recruiting weekend on the University of Florida campus. Davis was just one of many top junior football prospects in attendance for the Gators' annual Junior Day.
"I liked the campus a lot," he said. "We didn't get to see a lot of the campus. We mainly seen the stadium, locker rooms and we went to a basketball game. We really didn't get to see the school part, but the football fields and the locker rooms were just overwhelming."
Davis got to see the No. 1 ranked Florida basketball team defeat Tennessee 94-78 at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in front of a sold out crowd of 12,222.
"Their fans are crazy,"said Davis about the "Rowdy Reptiles". "I really enjoyed the game. It was a lot of fun."
Brandon was accompanied on the trip by his dad, Adrian Davis.
"They really are interested in Brandon," said Mr. Davis. "I talked to the recruiting coordinator and he said that Brandon was the running back that they were going to bring back after signing day. They strongly feel that they are going to offer him when he comes back.'
"They indicated that they had been watching him for sometime now. They had already checked with his coaches about his academics and talked to his counselor before we actually went down there. They treated him like a king. It was absolutely phenomenal."
The 5-foot-9.5, 180-pound running back from Suwanee (GA) Peachtree Ridge runs the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds and has been invited to attend several other junior days.
