Crawford Delays His Decision

GAVSV.com recently caught up with North Oconee safety Eli Crawford, a 2007 prospect who has not signed a letter of intent with any school.

Eli Crawford currently holds two offers from Valparaiso and Presbyterian College.

He was hoping to get offered by Jacksonville State, but the Gamecocks just recently decided not to offer a safety this year.  There decision leaves Crawford with the dilema of what to do next about his recruiting process.

Valparaiso was the only school interested in Crawford at free safety and that is the same position he played his senior year for North Oconee.  For that reason, the Crusaders may be the school that the 6-foot-2, 292-pound safety signs with.

"There is a good chance if everything works out, I'm going to go to Valparaiso," Crawford said. "Mainly because of the free safety position thing. The coaches said I could come up there and make big noise right away."

"They're flying me up there next weekend for a visit. Right now, I'm just waiting to get accepted and qualified before I can sign anything."

Crawford finished with 51 tackles and 9 interceptions as a senior.  He is currently playing on the North Oconee basketball team. Check back with GAVSV.com for a recruiting update on North Oconee safety prospect Eli Crawford next week.
