Josh Anderson was the only Habersham Central player in attendance at the combine on Sunday. He posted a 4.56 second 40-yard dash, but even more impressive was his 4.28 second shuttle.
"I've done a 4.49
second 40-yard dash at practice, but for an official time, that is the
best I've ever done," said Anderson. "I was really pleased with my performance
Anderson's career numbers are 113 tackles, six
interceptions, nine pass breakups and two blocked PAT's. He's an
excellent student with a 4.0 GPA and he's already
receiving interest from some of the top academic schools in Division
"I'm receiving a lot of stuff from Duke and Vanderbilt," Anderson
said. "I've already been to Vanderbilt once. Southern Miss has invited me
to a couple of practices and games. Then there's several Ivy League
schools that are showing interest. Yale and Princeton are sending me
a lot of stuff as well."
Anderson said he likes three
schools right now.
"I would have to put Duke and Vanderbilt at the top
right now because they've done so much," he said. "Although I wouldn't mind
being a little bit closer to home. Vanderbilt, Duke and probably Southern
Miss are probably up there at the top right now."
