Adam Urbano is still waiting for his first scholarship offer. However, interest is coming in from schools all over the southeast and the athlete will be visiting Alabama for the Tide's Junior Day this Saturday.
"I'll be going to the Alabama Junior Day this weekend," said Urbano. "This will be my first Junior Day. I really like Alabama and I'm very excited about going up there."
Urbano played in only six games as a junior due to an ankle injury, but still rushed for over 800 yards and 10 touchdowns. During his sophomore season, Urbano compiled over 1,800 yards and 36 touchdowns leading Calhoun to the Class AA state championship game and a 14-1 record.
Urbano is blessed with speed, quickness and the unique ability to change directions. He had a good showing at the Kennedy/CES Invitational combine last weekend.
He ran a 4.56 second forty-yard dash, a 33 inch vertical jump, 110 inch broad jump and a combine best 4.03 second twenty-yard shuttle.
He talked a little about what he is looking for in a school.
"Academics and prestige, said Urbano "Location is also important to me. Not necessarily distance, but I would like for it to be in a place that is comfortable to me. Playing time will also be a factor. I don't want to sit on the bench for three years. I love the game to much. I want to be playing by my sophomore year if not as a freshman."
When asked who his leader is, Urbano said, "I really like Florida and I'm also very interested in Alabama. Those are probably my two favorites right now."
He also has been invited to attend Junior Days at Florida State and Mississippi State.Adam Urbano in Action:
