Brandon Davis Picks Up Fourth Offer

Suwanee, Ga - One of the top running back prospects in Georgia in the Class of 2008 recently picked up his fourth scholarship offer.

Peachtree Ridge running back Brandon Davis was offered by Duke on Friday.

"I got offered by the University of Duke today," said Brandon Davis. "I talked to Coach Glenn Spencer. He is the Recruiting Coordinator for Duke and he's a great guy. I've met him before. He has been down to our school a couple of times. I called him on the phone a few minutes ago and he offered me a scholarship."

The Blue Devils join Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt and Maryland in offering Davis.

"Duke has an excellent academic program," Davis said. "They have an outstanding coaching staff and I can't wait to get up there for a visit. Their football team has been kind of down the last couple of years, but I think I could come in there and maybe make a difference. I'm very happy to get an offer form Duke."

Davis will be leaving Saturday morning for Columbia, South Carolina to attend the Gamecocks' junior day.
