"I just picked up my first offer," said Hawkinsville wideout Kamaron Riley. "One of the Indiana recruiting coaches told me a few days ago that I would be getting an offer. Well, the offer came today."
Riley had 43 receptions (a Hawkinsville record) for 702 yards and 8 touchdowns as a junior. The talented prospect already has one scholarship offer, but he's hoping to have more options before making his college decision.
"I don't want to commit to early," Riley said. "I just want to look around and see which school suits me best. Right now, my favorites are Florida, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, North Carolina State and Clemson."
How did he feel when he heard that he had his first offer?
"It feels pretty good," said Riley. "This means I've got a pretty good chance of playing D-I football. I'm not really all that familiar with Indiana, but I'm going to try to find out as much as I can about them now."
Several factors could play a part in his final decision on recruiting.
"A good athletic facility, weight room and a good academics program are a few of the things I'll be looking for in a school," said Riley. "I got to make sure I get the right education. Coaching staff and playing time is also very important."
Riley said Florida, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech were the top three schools showing interest in him.
