Roswell RB Still Waiting

Roswell High School running back Alex Daniel is still waiting for his first scholarship offer. A couple of major programs are showing interest in the 5-foot-11, 198-pound prospect from Roswell, Georgia. Daniel talked to GAVSV.com about the latest in his recruiting.

Alex Daniel is still waiting on his first offer, but he's getting interest from some major programs including the school that he last visited.

"I've been getting a lot more text messages from coaches," said Daniel. "I just got back from the Central Florida junior day. I talked to their Running Backs Coach for a long time and they liked my film a lot. They will be at my spring practice."

Daniel and his Roswell teammate Ebele Okakpu will be visiting Alabama this coming weekend. He will be visiting a lot more schools during the summer.

"We're going up to Alabama this weekend." he said. "They're having the top 75 recruits for Alabama in for a visit or something like that."

"There's still a lot of camps that I'm gonna visit this summer and I'm getting some interest from Colorado, so I plan on going up there this summer for a visit. I have a friend that goes there and he said he likes it a lot."

Which schools lead for this talented 2008 running back prospect?

"There's not a whole lot of schools that I'm interested in right now," said Daniel. "My parents just asked me that the other day. I really don't have a legitimate favorite."

"Out of some of the schools that I've visited so far, I really like Alabama, Vanderbilt and Central Florida a lot."

Daniel has also been invited to junior days at Michigan State, Indiana, Louisville, Tennessee, Marshall and Boston College along with a number of other schools.

He's getting text messages from Boston College and Tulane daily.
