Alphonzo Dennard Names Top Three

The time has come for Alphonzo Dennard to strut his stuff on some of the top college campuses in the Southeast. Dennard did just that on Tuesday while attending camp at Georgia. GAVSV.com caught up with the Wilcox County athlete to find out how he did and if the Dawgs talked about offereing.

"I just came from the Georgia Camp yesterday," said Dennard. "I did pretty good.  The coaching staff showed me a lot of interest. We worked on a lot of drills. We had a 7-on-7 and I rotated at wide receiver and corner. I think I was the only one that did that."

Because Dennard did so well, does he think an offer from the Dawgs could be forthcoming?

"Yes Sir, I think so." said Dennard.  "They really acted like they wanted me to play there, but they said they had to look at my transcripts."

Right now, Dennard has narrowed his favorites list down to three schools. Did the Dawgs make the list?

"There in the top three," said Dennard. "I know that. My top three are Clemson, Alabama, and Georgia."

Georgia is the only one of his top three schools that haven't offered, but that could change after Dennard's performance at their Camp on Tuesday.  Other schools that have extended offers include Purdue, Troy, and UAB offered yesterday.

Dennard will be attending camp at Auburn this weekend and Clemson's three day camp next weekend.  Auburn is another school that is showing much interest in him, but like Georgia, they want to see Dennard perform at their camp before extending an offer to the 5-10, 185-pounder.
