Cairo vs. North Hall

SEMIFINALS PREVIEW, Game 8: Syrupmakers vs. Trojans on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Two very hot teams are set to square off Saturday at 3 p.m. when North Hall and Cairo battle for a trip to the 2A state title game.

The Syrupmakers lost only one game all season long and have been playing fantastic football for over two months. After a week five loss, Cairo hasn't been tested much and find themselves right where expected: deep in the playoffs.

Paced by an offense that scores 33 points per game and a defense that allows just 7.5, the Syrupmakers likely will prove a tough test for the Trojans.

Cairo got past Shaw and Carver-Atlanta in rounds one and to, respectively.

If Cairo has been difficult to stop all season, then North Hall has been impossible to combat.

The undefeated Trojans have used a potent offensive attack and decisive defense to thrash opponents all year.

North Hall hasn't been as dominate in the postseason as Cairo has been but for a team that consisitently scored in the upper 40s and sometimes 50s, 60s and 70s throughout the regular season, there's a chance that they could run away with a victory at anytime.

The Trojans beat Sandy Creek and Perry the last two weeks to set up this game in the Georgia Dome.
