GAVSV's Recruiting Big Board

A look at the Georgia natives that will be making news as National Signing Day approaches.

With National Signing Day less than a week away, followers of college football recruiting are growing more and more anxious about the big day.

For followers of prospects from the state of Georgia, that excitement is directed at a handful of players that will use the spotlight of February 6 to make their respective decisions as the majority of the state's top prospects have already publicly committed..

The following list highlights a few of the Peach State stars that are set to announce their definitive collegiate plans in the coming days.

Jarmon Fortson:

The Carver-Columbus star has been a soft verbal to Auburn for quite sometime. Still, that hasn't stopped Florida State coaches from pursuing the versatile athlete. Despite an official visit to FSU last weekend, Fortson's high school coach said that the four-star player is still firmly committed to play with teammate DeRon Furr and the Tigers. Still, there are some rumblings that the Seminoles feel good about their chances of swaying the 6-foot-3 standout.

Keith Wells:

The one-time FSU commit, recently opened his recruitment back up and has finally settled on a top three in terms of potential schools. The Gainesville High star has narrowed his list to Ohio State, Tennessee and Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish were a late addition in his recruitment and appear to be on the outside looking in. As for the Buckeyes, they appear to be in the driver's seat as they were the program that started the ball rolling on the path to Wells' decision to de-commit from FSU.

Omoregie Uzzi:

The four-star offensive guard had narrowed down his list of schools to just two in Georgia Tech and Alabama but Virginia recently entered the picture. The top remaining Georgia prospect to not be committed to a school, it's widely felt that Uzzi will ultimately stick with the in-state Yellow Jackets. The Chamblee High star is set to announce sometime before National Signing Day.

Chaz Sutton:
After committing to Florida back in July of last year, the Jenkins High standout remained solidly committed to the Gators until recently. Now experiencing the recruiting process once again, it appears that Sutton has a top two of South Carolina and Clemson with the Gamecocks the predicted favorite to land the three-star prospect.
