Northview's Brock Sanders has been offered by Stanford and the talented tight end told GAVSV.com Tuesday night that the news of the offer was quite a surprise.
"It came out of nowhere," Sanders said. "I am just very happy to get the offer because it's such a good school."
Seeing as though Sanders lives on the other side of the country, how much does he know about the Cardinal program?
"I know a little bit about but not as much as I would if I lived in California," Sanders said. "But I do have some family that lives on the West Coast so I know what it's like out there."
The offer is the second one that the soon-to-be senior has received as Mississippi State was the first program to contact the speedy tight end.
Sanders has plans to visit Starkville, Miss. for the Bulldogs' Spring Game but is not sure if he will be able to do the same for the Cardinal.
"I want to go out there and see it," Sanders said. "I talked to (Stanford) Coach (John) Harbaugh and he wants me to see the campus and the facilities. I just have to talk to my family about if I want to take an official visit or not."
Stay tuned to GAVSV.com for more on the recruitment of Brock Sanders.
