Braxton Lane is getting closer and closer to an impressive number of college scholarships.
After holding 14 or 15 offers for a while, the Sandy Creek High athlete recently earned three new offers - one from a program he is quite familiar with.
"My three newest offers are from Georgia Tech, Arkansas and West Virginia," Lane told GAVSV.com.
Lane recently attend the Yellow Jackets' T-Day and was able to speak with new Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson.
So what does he think about the offer from the in-state program?
"I am glad they offered me," Lane said. "I know a lot about them just because I have been around the school to visit and have spoken with the coaches."
The 5-10, 190-pounder is also grateful for the offers from the Mountaineers and Razorbacks.
On Arkansas: "I followed Darren McFadden but I don't know much more about them. I know they have a new coach."
On West Virginia: "Same as with Arkansas. They just got a new coach that was promoted from an assistant. I need to learn more about them. I know they use their playmakers on offense."
As of right now, Lane doesn't have any scheduled trips to visit any of the schools that recently offered him or the handful of other schools that have also extended offers - but that could change.
