A standout middle linebacker at Roswell High, Ebele Okakpu will joined the fold at the University of North Carolina this summer.
Recruitment: Okakpu's recruitment lacked much drama as the 6-1, 200-pound defender verbal committed to the 'Heels in July of 2007. After his early commitment, Okapu took only one official visit - to his future school - and then officially signed with Carolina in February.
At UNC: Okakpu made his name as a middle linebacker at the prep level but will begin his collegiate career at weakside linebacker. It also looks as though Okakpu will have the chance to play right away once he gets to campus Sunday. In a recent interview with InsideCarolina.com, the Peach State native said, ""Coach Thigpen told me I could possibility see the field this year if I work hard."
