Ware County High's Galatian King impressed at the Under Armour/Scout.com Combine in Jacksonville, Fla. in March and now the standout defensive end is looking to turn some heads at summer camps.
In addition to showing his skills throughout the southeast, King is hoping that a change to his classroom regimen will also attract college coaches.
"Recruiting has been going pretty good for me even though I don't have any official offers yet," King recently told NoleDigest.com. "I think some schools were initially concerned about my classes. I wasn't taking the right ones so I had to get on schedule. That's been taken care of."
So what programs have been communicating with the 6-3, 265-pounder?
"Schools like Florida State, Auburn, Clemson, Memphis and Western Kentucky have been in contact with me," King said in the same interview. "Mostly it's been schools in the south so far."
The Waycross native says that he doesn't boast any favorites at this time.
Instead he is working his body with the hopes of having even more choices when it comes to selecting a college.
"I don't have a top list or anything right now, but I know of a few schools I really like," King said. "I'm looking at trying to get better and stronger this summer. I'm a good pass rusher and run stopper, but I want to get better and start preparing for the next level. I'll probably take all my visits so I have a long time to figure this thing out."
