Keith Wells dominated at Gainesville High and earned a four-star ranking. His ability to get the quarterback made him the 16th-ranked defensive end in the country and the 13th-ranked overall player in the Peach State.
Recruitment: Wells appeared to be all through with his recruitment early in the process when he gave a verbal pledge to Florida State. But his commitment to the Seminoles didn't last long and Wells later opened his recruitment back up. In the end, the Gainesville star knew he still wouldn't be playing college ball in his home state and had a final three of Ohio State, Tennessee and Notre Dame. The 6-5, 207-pounder eventually committed to the Buckeyes.
At Ohio State: Wells comes in with a class that featured two other highly-rated defensive ends n Nathan Williams and Willie Mobley. .
