Former Cedar Grove High wide receiver Josh Jarboe has been kicked off the University of Oklahoma football team the school announced Friday.
Jarboe was dismissed from the program by head coach Bob Stoops after a video surfaced on the Internet of the former highly regarded pass-catcher rapping in a derogatory manner.
"We are disappointed in this outcome, but our complete review and this final decision is in the best interest of our program," Stoops said in a statement. "We outlined for Josh the expectations we had for and, unfortunately, those expectations have not been met. Josh needs to learn from this experience. We hope he can move forward in a positive manner."
Jarboe was arrested earlier this year after the principle at Cedar Grove told police he saw the receiver grab a gun from his car.
