After a brief stint at Auburn, DeRon Furr has elected to transfer to Memphis, according to the Birmingham News.
The former Carver-Columbus High standout has enrolled early at Auburn in January upon high school graduation but recently decided to leave the program.
The Birmingham News reported that Furr's father, DeRon Sr., said that his son picked the Memphis Tigers over Florida State, Miami and Georgia Tech. The younger Furr visited the Memphis campus this past weekend.
Furr began his career at Auburn before switching to defensive back. He will play in the secondary at Memphis.
