There are no more important games in a season than the one in your own region and that is just where Luella and M.L. King high schools are in 2008.
Both teams will compete in their first regional game Friday night when they square off.
Luella enters the showdown with an undefeated record at 3-0 after convincing victories over Meadowcreek, Ola and Fayette County start the season. In those games, Luella outscored its opponents 112-30.
M.L. King on the other hand, has already suffered a loss at the hands of North Cobb a few weeks ago. In that defeat, they lost by just three.
In fact, each of M.L. King's games this year have been close. In victories over Southwest Dekalb and McNair, they won by just a combined 11 points.
