A New Season Set To Begin

The pressure is about over for the class of 2009 in a few days. However the microscope will change quickly to the class of 2010 and it starts Sunday in Duluth, Georgia.

The world of college recruiting is a never ending job for not only coaches, but for us in the business. As signing day 2009 rapidly approaches, we quickly turn our focus to the 2010 class to find those elite kids.

On Sunday morning in Duluth, Georgia the Kennedy/CES combine will jump start this process. Over 100 of the top underclassmen in state of Georgia will get their chance to shine.

This combine is by invite only so the we expect to see as in the past some of the best the Peach state has to offer.

To give you a idea how important these combines have become, I received a call yesterday from a coach at a BCS school and he asked to have the results faxed to him first thing Monday morning. This particular school wanted to discuss names for their upcoming Junior day and would use these results as part of their work. Fair or not this is the world of college recruiting.

I asked Scout.Com Southeastern Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons to give me his top 10 players this weekend and some sleepers he thinks that will make a name this weekend.
