Road To The Dome Starts Soon

The Road to the Georgia Dome starts in the next two weeks for many teams. Coaches will use this time to find new starters and build depth as they get ready for the 2009 season.

I have interviewed many coaches over the last 4 months and every one of them spoke of the importance of spring practice.

It is time to get back to basics and find some new starters.

Someone like Jeff Herron is looking for those few pieces of the puzzle to complete another powerhouse at Camden County.

Heath Webb of North Paulding, a 3 yr old program is still trying to teach the basics and build on a 2 win season last year.

One has to wonder what is going through Calhoun coach Hal Lamb's mind going into spring. They will have over 20 colleges at least come to their spring practice.

Rocky Hildalgo is taking over at Walton for Ed Dudley, who is now at Ware County.

Can Buford still reign supreme in AA?

Who will be the number one rank player in the state? Alec Ogletree, Mack Brown, Darick Rogers, Markeith Ambles will have a chance to prove their case during these two weeks.

Can Woodstock build off their 2008 season?

Can North Gwinnett be ready to open the season with a powerhouse in Prattville, Alabama?

Many, many questions are on the horizon and upcoming in the next few months. However for the next two weeks the coaches can work on the basics and tackling.

It may not sound like it to the players, but it is music to my ears.

Stay tuned to Scout.Com as we will be on the road and giving you plenty of coverage from many many teams
