What I am Hearing

Find out what member of the 2008 class from the Peach State is getting "Bigtime" attention as JUCO member of the 2010 class. I also discuss the North Gwinnett vs Prattville game coming up to open the season.

Maurice Hayes ( Formerly of Pepperell), now at Bakersfield Junior College in California is getting alot of attention lately.

After making all conference as a freshman, it didn't take long for schools around the nation to take notice.

6'4" 320 lbs DT's in the juco ranks are hard to come by, but the fact that he is a mid year guy makes him even more attractive.

I confirmed today that Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Ohio State all had a interest in him in the past week. In fact I was told today that one of the schools is "about to offer" him in the coming days.

Stay tuned to Scout.Com as we will soon have video and updated profile on Maurice in the coming days.

I told the members of Dawgpost.Com back a few months back to watch out for the Crimson Tide in this state in the 2010 class.

I have now talked with at least 7 coaches this week they have told me " Alabama just stopped by". From Troup County to Callaway, Walton and many others the Tide is hitting this state very hard

Looking forward to first game of the season of North Gwinnett vs. Prattville. I knew that North has a very talented team, but let me assure you that Prattville is coming over here loaded.

They have 2 sophomore DT's that will be D1 recruits in two years. There sophomore QB is suppose to as good as it gets. I had one coach from a college in the south, tell me he may the best in the south right now over anybody in the 10th grade. This should be a very good game to start the season. I am ready to be there already!

Looks like UGA is going to look at alot of the in-state QB's at there camp in June to decide on who gets the offer. They stopped by this week and visited with Nash Nance, Jonathan Watters and Hutson Mason. The wild card here is Nick Montana( Joe's Son) in California. He is suppose to decide in a few weeks and UGA is in his top 3. UGA will only take one and he selects UGA then they will be done.

Should have some reports for you guys next week as I hit the road to see some teams in person in the North Georgia area.
