Here Comes Tech

For many years according to the "experts" Georgia has owned the Peach State. Ever since Tennessee came down in the mid 90's to claim Deon Grant, Cosey Coleman and Jamal Lewis, UGA has won the majority of recruiting battles with most schools. From the past few days it seems a old foe is back and back big.

UGA fans were very excited a few weeks back when elite receiver Da'rick Rogers committed to the Dawgs.

How did Georgia Tech counter that?

By getting the state's number one CB Ryan Ayers, who has the speed and size to run with Rogers. Ayers has blazing speed and is physical enough to cover a bigger receiver.

A true lockdown CB that does not need Safety help over the top. Very valuable to a defensive scheme.

Georgia fans were very excited about getting Bolles HS OT Brent Benedict this past week.

Georgia Tech already has a DT committed in Denzel McCoy. UGA didn't offer him, but Alabama, LSU, Florida State and Miami did. Says alot for Tech to beat out those schools for a premier defensive lineman.

Georgia Tech received a committment this past week also from BJ Bostic. He is a "electric" athlete out of Jefferson County. I think he is EXTREMELY underrated as a prospect.

UGA and Georgia Tech went head to head for Sandy Creek S Isaiah Johnson over the past few months. Georgia Tech won this battle in the end.

Now by no means am I saying that Georgia Tech will "win" the state in recruiting this year. But I am record saying that Tech is a force once again in the Peach state.

One that everybody from Athens to Knoxville to Tuscaloosa better be aware of, because they are beating alot of teams for these kids they are signing.
