Bloomington Catholic Guard from the Class of 2011 Has Plenty of Options

Kedric:
How's the recruiting process going?

Hayden:
"Really good - over 20 schools seem to be interested." The list he provided to us of schools showing interest included Illinois, Iowa, Penn State, Illinois State, Evansville, Northern Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Butler, Notre Dame, Kentucky, and Oklahoma.

Kedric:
What are your plans for the summer?

Hayden:
"Playing for the Peoria Irish - we're going to play 17U this spring and summer for better competition. We're playing in the Swish and Dish and the LeBron James Tournament, and we're going to nationals in Orlando."

Kedric:
When a college coach comes to see you what can they expect?

Hayden:
"I will always find ways to get the ball in the basket. My shooting ability is a strong point for me right now. I want to improve quickness and ball handling. I know it takes a lot to play at the next level. I'm willing to do what it takes to get there on the basketball court." Hoerdemann also added coaches would view him as a player with a very high basketball IQ.

Kedric:
Think back to your season this year, name the toughest opponents you had to guard?

Hayden:
"Matt Frahm – Olympia. Keelan Prince – Alleman. Demetri Riggs - Bloomington and Kedric Williams - Normal Community."

Kedric:
Rumor has it you're a pretty good pitcher in baseball. If that's true, will you try to play two sports in college or just one?

Hayden:
"I'm going to stick with basketball. I think my future is in basketball. I really want to get better and playing two sports at a time would be tough."

Kedric:
Tell us your Final Four teams and who's your pick to win it all?

Hayden:
North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, and Louisville, with UNC winning it all.
