Question and Answers with Matt Milton

Mascoutah's Matt Milton, a talented 6'6" wide receiver, gave IllinoisHSPrep.com his top three schools. Milton knows what he's looking for in a college and has done plenty of homework. We caught up with Milton to find out more about his favorite schools and also got the longhorn lowdown on one of his favorite restaurants.

Kedric:
What have you been doing in the off-season to make yourself more attractive to schools as a recruit?

Matt:
This off-season I've been lifting a lot, catching balls, and running a lot of routes to improve my overall game.

Kedric:
Why are you focusing on this part of your game?

Matt:
My high school coach told me I will be getting the ball more next year, and I have to be prepared to take more hits.

Kedric:
Today if you had to give me your top three schools who would they be?

Matt:
Illinois, Tennessee, and Iowa.

Kedric:
What do you look for in a school?

Matt:
A very strong relationship with the coaches and players, the type of offense they run, and also if they win. I want to play for a winning program. One of the reasons I like Illinois is because they threw a lot last year.

Kedric:
What are your plans for this spring?

Matt:
I really want to go to Illinois, Tennessee, Iowa, and Kansas State.

Kedric:
Are you a NCAA qualifier?

Matt:
My school gave us a practice test recently, but just last Saturday I took the national one. I have to wait to get my results back to see how I did.

Kedric:
Matt a lot of times these interviews can be tough so tell me for fun, what's your favorite restaurant to eat at and what do you order when you go?

Matt:
Most definitely Longhorn Steakhouse. I was there last night, and I order wings every time I go.

Kedric:
Thanks Matt and good luck to you.

Matt:
Thank you and have a great day.
